Acceptable Use Policy

As a high-quality internet services provider to many customers, netsolutions values its good reputation. 
Accordingly, it is important to us that our customers use our services and the Internet in general, 
responsibly and courteously. Most of our customers do so and seldom need to refer to these (Acceptable 
Use Policy). Nonetheless, the following constitute examples of unacceptable uses of netsolutions・s services, 
which will result in suspension, or termination of the customer・s account:

Affronts to Etiquette. Unacceptable activities include spamming (sending unsolicited advertising to those 
with which the customer has no existing business relationship, posting off-topic advertising in newsgroups); 
spoofing (using a return email address which is not the valid reply address of the sender or sending an 
email message which does not contain enough information to enable the recipient to identify the party who 
is really sending the message; passive spamming (promoting a web site hosted by netsolutions by 
spamming from some other source), trolling (posting controversial messages in newsgroups to generate 
responses), mail bombing (inundating a user with email without any serious intent to correspond), and 
subscribing someone else to an electronic mailing list without that person's permission.

Abuse of the legal rights of others. Examples of unacceptable activities in this regard include posting 
private information about a person without their consent, infringing intellectual property rights, defaming a 
person or business, and knowingly making available code which will have a deleterious effect on third 
party computers. netsolutions supports free speech on the Internet, and will not suspend or cancel a 
customer・s account simply because it disagrees with the views expressed by the customer. Where there are 
allegations that a customer・s on-line activity has violated the legal rights of a third party, netsolutions will 
not substitute itself for a court of law in deciding tort claims raised by the third party.

Abuse of the law. netsolutions・s services may be used for lawful purposes only. Illegality includes but is 
not limited to drug dealing, attempting without authorization to access a computer system, pirating 
(distributing copyrighted material in violation of copyright law), gambling, schemes to defraud, trafficking 
in obscene material, violating local or international law and/or regulations.

Abuse of netsolutions・s Resources. Running programs in the background on a netsolutions・s server without 
netsolutions・s prior written authorization, or running chat rooms, Proxy, Use our server to get another website content,
Internet Relay Chat, IRC bots, Game rooms, large  forums and the like are not acceptable uses of netsolutions・s servers.
Also unacceptable is using a domain pointer to refer to a portion of a web site to use one site for several domain names.
Further, any usage of twenty percent (20%) or more of our system or network resources is an undue burden on our 
system and is unacceptable. If your usage ever exceeds twenty percent (20%) of system resources, your 
account may be terminated immediately and without prior notice. netsolutions shall be the sole arbiter of 
what is and is not a violation of these acceptable use policies. In addition netsolutions reserves the right to 
terminate an account at any time and for any reason that causes harm to other netsolutions customers. No 
refund request will be granted for termination due to resource abuse. We strongly recommend the 
use of PHP-based message forums, since CGI/PERL-based forums consume massive amounts of 
system resources.

MySQL Server remote connection is not allowed
User should apply MySQL web hosting plan for their website, the MySQL DB 
only for the website that one apply with the plan, any remote MySQL 
connection, website use another account MySQL DB is not allowed, 
netsolutions reserves the right to terminate an account.

Customer contact email
Your email address that one provided when you submit the order is very important!
It is identify as domain owner and we will send the renew reminder/invoice by email only.
You must notice us by email when you're update/change your contact email address!

Customer Data
We do not have any responsibility for any of our systems error, server 
fault or data lost that caused web site down or disappear. All customers 
should keep or backup the all data by their owned.

Expired Account
Accounts that are due to expire will automatically be suspended. 
Customer must settle the payment and notice us by email or fax to 
re-active account within 30days, If your domain expired over 30-days and 
you would like to renew it, It will apply HK$950 additional handle 
charge for each domain, if your domain is expired over 45-days, your 
account is not able renew/re-active, all web files, Databases and email 
accounts will be removed from our system.

Limitation of Liability. netsolutions shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental 
and consequential damages, which may arise from netsolutions・s servers going off-line or being 
unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Further, netsolutions shall not be responsible for any claimed 
damages, including incidental or consequential damages, resulting from the corruption or deletion of any 
web site from one of netsolutions・s servers. All damages shall be limited to the immediate termination of 
service.


Netsolutions reserves the right to make changes to the above terms and 
conditions without notice.
